South Korea Finalizes 12-Player Women’s Volleyball Squad for Asian Games

South Korea has finalized the 12 players who will represent the country in women’s volleyball at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, with captain Kang So-hwi and Lee Da-hyeon among the central figures.

The roster, announced by the Korea Volleyball Association, includes two setters, one libero, two opposite spikers, four outside hitters and three middle blockers. Kang leads the outside hitters alongside Yook Seo-young, Lee Ye-rim and Kim Hyo-im. Na Hyeon-su and Park Eun-seo were selected as opposite spikers, while Lee Da-hyeon, Jeong Ho-young and Park Eun-jin will cover the middle.

Kim Da-in and Lee Su-yeon will serve as setters, and Han Da-hye will take responsibility as libero. Head coach Cha Sang-hyun will lead the squad.

South Korea was drawn into Group D with Vietnam, Hong Kong and Qatar. The team will open against Hong Kong on Sept. 16, face Qatar the following day and meet Vietnam on Sept. 18. The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals. The squad gathered at the Jincheon National Training Center on Sept. 1 and will work on team cohesion and tactics before departing for Japan on Sept. 13.
