South Korea: Hanwha, Hyundai to Launch 1,032-Unit Apartment Complex in Jinju

Hanwha Construction and Hyundai Engineering are set to launch a large-scale apartment complex, 'Forena Hillstate Jinju,' in Jinju, South Korea, this August. Located in the Ihyun-dong district, the project will offer 1,032 units spread across eight buildings, with floor plans ranging from 59 to 110 square meters. Of the total units, 398 will be available for general sale. The development is significant as it marks the first new apartment construction in the area since 2005, addressing a scarcity of modern housing in a district with many buildings over 15 years old. Ihyun-dong is part of Jinju's original downtown area, providing residents with access to established educational, transportation, cultural, and natural amenities. The location offers convenient access to major roads like Jinju-daero and the circular road for city travel, as well as proximity to the Seojinju IC for access to major highways. Public transportation hubs, including express bus terminals and KTX Jinju Station, are also within reasonable travel distance. The surrounding area boasts numerous schools, including Chokseok Elementary and Dae-a Middle and High Schools within a 10-minute walk, and others within a 1-kilometer radius. Local amenities include supermarkets, department stores, and hospitals, along with recreational facilities. The complex itself will feature extensive community amenities, including ample parking, a central plaza, pet park, children's play areas, fitness facilities, a guest house, and co-working spaces. "As a large-scale consortium apartment located in a key area with established living infrastructure in Ihyun-dong, we plan to offer differentiated product quality," said Lee Jung-seok, head of sales at Hanwha Construction.
