South Korea to Showcase AI, XR, and Gaming Projects at 2026 New Contents Academy Event

South Korea is set to highlight its emerging creative talent with the '2026 New Contents Academy (NCA) Showcase.' This event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), will run for three days from August 19 to August 21, 2026.

The showcase will take place at the Contents Talent Campus and Contents Culture Plaza in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. It will feature a total of 21 diverse projects developed by students from the NCA's 2nd and 3rd cohorts. These projects span cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR), gaming, and animation, offering a glimpse into the future of digital content creation.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to directly experience a variety of immersive and interactive works, including interactive art installations and VR games. The event also facilitates direct interaction with the student creators, allowing visitors to learn about the behind-the-scenes processes of their projects. Furthermore, the "OPEN STAGE" segment will feature daily talks from industry professionals, including directors and writers, discussing topics like IP evolution and creative strategies.
