South Korea Weather: Rain on East Coast, Highs of 32°C Inland

The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasts occasional clouds nationwide, with overcast skies likely along the Gangwon East Coast and Yeongnam Coast. Rain is anticipated to begin in the morning along the Gangwon East Coast and mountains, and in the afternoon in the Gyeonggi East Coast and Northeast Mountains. The Gangwon East Coast and mountains could receive 20 to 60 millimeters of rain.

Despite the cooler temperatures compared to the seasonal average in some areas, heatwave advisories are in effect for parts of Gyeonggi Province. The Seoul metropolitan area, Chungnam Province, and southern regions will experience high perceived temperatures reaching 33 degrees Celsius, with some locations likely to have tropical nights. High waves are expected in the South Sea and East Sea, with strong swells along the eastern and southern coasts, and on Jeju Island.
