South Korean First Lady Kim Keon-hee Summoned for Questioning Over Presidential Residence Allegations

First Lady Kim Keon-hee is set to face her first questioning by a special prosecutor on June 19, concerning allegations surrounding the relocation of the presidential residence. The investigation, led by Special Prosecutor Kwon Chang-young, aims to uncover any preferential treatment or undue influence in the selection of construction companies for the new official residence.

Prosecutors suspect that Kim may have improperly intervened in the bidding process.
