South Korean Tire Shop Owner Dies After Being Hit by Ejected Part

A tragic accident has claimed the life of a 40-year-old business owner in Naju, South Korea, as he was performing routine tire maintenance. The incident occurred at a tire specialty shop in Sanjeong-dong, Naju City, on Tuesday afternoon. According to the Naju Police Station, the shop owner was in the process of inflating a large, 9.5-ton truck tire when it suddenly ruptured. A component from the damaged tire was ejected with considerable force, striking the owner in the face. The impact caused him to fall backward, sustaining a head injury. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene following a 119 call. Paramedics found the owner in a state of cardiac arrest and transported him to a nearby hospital. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead. Police are currently conducting an investigation, interviewing witnesses and examining the scene to determine the precise sequence of events that led to the fatal incident.
