Spain's Cucurella must get coach's face tattooed after World Cup win, says De la Fuente

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has declared that defender Marc Cucurella is a man of his word and must now fulfill his promise of getting a tattoo of the coach's face. This comes after the European champions secured a 1-0 victory over Argentina on Sunday to win the World Cup.

Earlier in the week, Cucurella had publicly stated he would get the coach's face tattooed on his body if Spain lifted the coveted trophy. De la Fuente, 65, acknowledged the players' commitment, telling a press conference, "I am too old for tattoos but my players are men of their word and I know they will stick to their word."

"They made a mistake and they will stick to it. I am not that ugly," the coach added with a smile. De la Fuente has now achieved a remarkable double, leading Spain to both the Euro 2024 title and the World Cup.
