Spain's Cucurella tattoos coach's face after World Cup win

Spanish national team defender Marc Cucurella has kept his word, revealing a tattoo of coach Luis de la Fuente's face after Spain's World Cup victory. Cucurella shared photos and a video on social media on the 29th, captioned "I kept my promise," showing the tattoo on his left arm.

The artwork features the Spanish coach lifting the World Cup trophy. Cucurella had publicly pledged before the tournament that he would get a tattoo of De la Fuente's face if Spain won. Spain secured their second World Cup title, and first since 2010, by defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final after extra time.

Following the victory, attention turned to whether Cucurella would follow through on his promise. Coach De la Fuente himself had responded with a smile when asked, expressing his expectation that Cucurella would indeed get the tattoo.

Cucurella was a key player throughout the tournament, starting in all eight of Spain's matches. During the World Cup, Cucurella also reportedly carried his wife's pajama top for good luck.
