Spanish Royals Return to Favorite Palma Restaurant for Family Dinner

The Spanish Royal Family upheld a cherished tradition this past Saturday, gathering for a family dinner at their preferred restaurant in Palma's Portixol neighborhood. King Felipe VI joined Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, Infanta Sofia, and Queen Sofia for the meal, a reunion that could not take place last year.

The evening held particular significance for Queen Sofia, who has recently experienced the loss of close companions. Last year, the family dinner included Princess Irene of Greece and Princess Tatiana Radziwill, but this year, Queen Sofia invited Tatiana's widower, Jean Frouchaud, to Marivent to share company. The King arrived looking relaxed, wearing a polo shirt from the 'Hispania' and white trousers.

Guests enjoyed a traditional seafood dinner at the restaurant Mía, known for its rice dishes, paellas, and fresh Balearic fish. Queen Letizia wore a white dress, while Princess Leonor debuted a long dress with an open back. In a notable moment, Infanta Sofia wore the same dress that Leonor wore last year, which Queen Letizia had previously worn two years prior, a white Desigual design with blue patterns.

Queen Sofia, despite the island's heat, opted for a navy blue pantsuit. The family's outing highlights a blend of royal duty and personal tradition, with the younger generation's fashion choices adding a contemporary touch to the established customs.
