Special Police Dazzle with 'Steel' Performance in Da Nang Rain

Thousands of spectators, undeterred by heavy rain, gathered at East Sea Park in Da Nang to witness a spectacular display of martial arts and professional skills by the People's Police.

The event, which marked the opening of the final round of the 2026 People's Police Military, Martial Arts, and Sports Festival, drew a large crowd despite the unfavorable weather. Attendees, equipped with umbrellas and raincoats, remained steadfast to catch the impressive performances.

The final of the sports festival is an opportunity for police officers and soldiers from units and localities to exchange and learn experiences, improve competition performance; at the same time, it is a real assessment of the quality of the sports movement and military and martial arts training in the entire force.

Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, highlighted the festival's importance for officers to exchange experiences, improve performance, and assess the quality of sports and training within the force. He also noted the event's role in promoting the "For the Fatherland's Security" emulation movement and aiming for the People's Police sports team to rank among the top five at the 10th National Sports Festival.

The highlight of the festival was an 18-minute "qigong and breaking" demonstration by the Special Police Force No. 3. Soldiers showcased incredible feats of strength and concentration, including breaking concrete with their heads and performing complex martial arts routines. These demanding performances require a minimum of three to five years of rigorous training.

The sports festival is also an important activity to showcase strength, promote the emulation movement "For the Fatherland's Security", aiming to build the People's Police sports team to participate in the 10th National Sports Festival at the end of 2026, striving to be among the top 5 sports teams in the country.
