Sports Foundation to Fund Overseas Studies for National Athletes and Coaches

The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is seeking applications for its '2026 Overseas Study Educational Support Program.' This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to individuals with a background as national athletes or coaches.

Eligible candidates can receive support for various overseas educational pursuits, including full-time degree programs (bachelor's, master's, and doctoral) as well as short-term training and research courses. The program intends to select one non-disabled and one disabled national representative athlete or coach to receive funding for up to four years, covering costs such as admission fees, tuition, and living expenses, within the allocated budget.

To qualify for the program, applicants must have achieved a certain score on a foreign language proficiency test and have already secured admission to their desired overseas educational institution. Interested individuals can submit their applications online through the Athlete Welfare Support Portal (spowell.kspo.or.kr) until August 10.
