Sree Narayana Guru's Ideals Will Guide Kerala, Says Chief Minister Satheesan

Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan reaffirmed his commitment to the principles of social reformer Sree Narayana Guru during a visit to the Sivagiri Mutt. Satheesan emphasized that Guru's vision of a society free from caste and religious divisions, where people coexist with mutual respect, remains central to the government's agenda.

During his first visit to the Mutt since assuming office, Satheesan offered prayers at the samadhi, or final resting place, of Sree Narayana Guru. He highlighted the transformative impact of Guru's teachings on Kerala's social and political landscape, noting that the government's own vision aligns with the harmonious Kerala that Guru envisioned.

He acknowledged the Sivagiri Mutt as a significant pilgrimage center, enriched by Guru's spiritual influence, and pledged government support for its development into an international-standard destination.

Swami Sachidananda, the head of Sivagiri Mutt, expressed his belief that Satheesan's leadership would ensure good governance and further development for the state.
