Stabbing in Skive city center; fatal fire near Spøttrup

A stabbing incident in Skive city center has led to an arrest, while a separate fatal house fire occurred near Spøttrup.

In Skive, a 27-year-old man was stabbed in front of the Nordea bank on Søndergade on Tuesday afternoon. According to Gorm Lauridsen, duty officer at Midt- and West Jutland Police, the victim was approached and attacked by the perpetrator. The injured man was initially taken to Viborg Hospital but was later transferred to Aarhus University Hospital.

The suspected attacker, identified as a 36-year-old man from Skive, was apprehended at the scene. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing today. Police are investigating whether the victim and the suspect knew each other. The victim is from Gentofte.

In a separate incident, a 64-year-old man was found dead following a house fire in a villa near Spøttrup, west of Skive. Emergency services responded to the fire call around 4:25 p.m. The man has been identified, and his relatives have been notified. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and under investigation by the police and fire department. The area around the villa has been cordoned off.
