"Al Qisas" centers on the life of Ahmed, an ambitious pianist, and his enduring friendship with an Austrian girl, developed through correspondence over many years. The narrative spans significant personal, familial, social, and political transformations in Egypt up to the early 1980s, illustrating how major events impact individual lives and dreams.
