Store Employee Beaten With Bottle by Drunk Customers Dies After 6-Hour Delay in Medical Care

A 38-year-old store employee in Taiwan's Changhua County died from blood loss after being severely beaten by intoxicated customers. The incident occurred at a convenience store in Tianwei Township on the 10th. The employee, identified by his surname Xu, reportedly got into an argument with three customers who had been drinking.

The altercation quickly escalated into a physical assault, during which Xu was reportedly struck on the head with a bottle. He sustained a serious head injury and began bleeding profusely at the scene. Despite the severity of his injuries, Xu was not immediately taken for medical attention.

It was not until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning that a friend discovered Xu collapsed on a sofa, having lost a significant amount of blood. Emergency services were then alerted, but it was too late to save his life. The delay in seeking medical treatment is believed to have been a critical factor in his death. Authorities are investigating the incident and the circumstances surrounding the assault and the subsequent delay in care.
