Striking development in Gülistan Doku case: Deputy gendarmerie commander and wife arrested

A notable development has emerged in the investigation into Gülistan Doku’s disappearance: Ali Kahraman, who served as deputy commander of the Tunceli Provincial Gendarmerie at the time, and his wife, Burçin Hızlı Kahraman, have been arrested.

Doku disappeared on Jan. 5, 2020. The investigation now focuses in part on information Kahraman allegedly sent to Sonel one day before her disappearance.

That information consisted of “tower data,” according to the reported findings. The disclosure has brought the former gendarmerie commander’s actions immediately before Doku vanished into the case.
