Students share photo of beaten man in Užice amid protests

Students protesting at Belgrade's Law Faculty have escalated their demonstration by sharing a photograph on social media depicting a man who was allegedly beaten in Užice. The students, who are currently blockading the faculty, posted the image on the platform X (formerly Twitter).

"Today, the state in Užice was suspended (for who knows how many times), the mafia regime beats its citizens," the students wrote in their post. "It's all useless, you only sent a message that this face is the face of victorious Serbia! Students are winning, the people are winning!"

According to Marko Miletić from the Mašina portal, the incident took place in Užice prior to a rally organized by the Serbian Progressive Party. Miletić reported that clashes occurred in the city center, during which individuals identified as SNS "organizers" allegedly beat at least one man. The students' post frames the alleged violence as a tactic of the current government, contrasting it with their own movement.
