Su Ching-fu Honored as Miaoli Honorary Citizen for Continuous Philanthropy

Su Ching-fu, chairman of the Ching Fu Social Welfare Charity Foundation, has been awarded an honorary citizen title by Miaoli County, Taiwan, in recognition of his extensive contributions to social welfare. County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin presented the certificate, acknowledging Su's long-standing commitment to supporting vulnerable populations in the region.

Since establishing a partnership with the Miaoli County government six years ago, Su has annually donated essential items such as warm clothing, thermal blankets, cooling apparel, and rice to disadvantaged groups. These donations have provided timely and practical support to the elderly living alone, low-income households, families facing economic hardship, individuals with disabilities, and victims of domestic violence. His efforts aim to alleviate the burden on these individuals, particularly during harsh weather conditions.

Su has also extended his generosity to police officers, donating warm clothing to help them endure cold winter patrols. Magistrate Chung expressed gratitude for Su's significant contributions, which he hopes will inspire other businesses to engage in philanthropic activities and foster a cycle of goodwill.

Reflecting on his decade-long dedication to public service, during which he has personally donated NT$300 million and goods valued at NT$1 billion, Su emphasized his philosophy of doing as much as he can. He has pledged to allocate future company profits to social welfare causes, particularly as his company approaches its 50th anniversary. He assured the county government that he would increase support if any departments identify needs.
