Suhua Highway tunnel to close at night for maintenance June 16-17

A section of the Suhua Highway, specifically the Guanyin Valley-Feng Tunnel between Nan'ao and Heping, will be subject to nighttime closures for electrical and mechanical maintenance. The closures are scheduled to facilitate essential upkeep of the tunnel's systems, ensuring its continued safe operation.

On Sunday, June 16, the southbound lanes of the Nan'ao to Heping section will be closed from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. The following night, Monday, June 17, the northbound lanes will undergo the same closure, also from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. These overnight closures are necessary to allow maintenance crews to work efficiently and safely within the tunnel.

During these periods, the Directorate General of Highways (DGH) urges motorists to utilize Provincial Highway 9 Ding, the old Suhua Highway, as an alternative route.
