Sultan Seeks Divine Intervention for Repentance of Perpetrators of Evil in Nigeria

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, has called for divine intervention to bring about the true repentance of individuals perpetrating evil acts within Nigeria. Speaking at his palace in Sokoto while hosting the wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the monarch emphasized the importance of leaders seeking spiritual guidance, particularly for those engaged in harmful activities.

"My prayer is that the evildoers would come to true repentance and live appropriately," stated the Sultan. He acknowledged and praised the First Lady for her impactful Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), which has positively affected millions of Nigerians. The Sultan highlighted the initiative's people-centered approach, aimed at improving the lives of women, youth, children, and families.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her gratitude to the Sultan for his consistent support and guidance to President Bola Tinubu's administration since its inception. She noted the long-standing relationship between their families and acknowledged the Sultan's role in steering the administration in the right direction. The First Lady stated that the primary purpose of her visit was to convey her thanks.

The state Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, also present, echoed the First Lady's sentiments, thanking her for visiting the revered monarch. He reiterated the positive impact of the RHI across Nigeria. Following the discussions, the Sultan requested religious leaders to lead prayers for the nation, the president, the first lady, the governor, and the state.
