'Sun' Film Explores Pregnancy, Adoption, and Unexpected Bonds

The film 'Güneş' (Sun) explores a complex narrative centered on Lena, a young pregnant woman who intends to sell her unborn child. The arrangement is made with Fabio and his wife Bianca, who are unable to conceive and wish to adopt the baby.

Fabio enlists his nephew, Ermanno, to look after Lena throughout her pregnancy. Ermanno agrees to his uncle's request, and he and Lena begin living together, posing as a married couple in public until the birth. Initially, their cohabitation is fraught with conflict, as both Lena and Ermanno are accustomed to prioritizing their own needs.

However, as the pregnancy progresses and the baby nears birth, Ermanno begins to take on a more paternal role. Lena is required to breastfeed the baby for a period after its birth to receive her payment. Despite her initial detachment, Lena finds herself witnessing Ermanno's growing affection and care for the child, which challenges her own emotional distance.
