Sun Shengxi Returns to Seoul for First Solo Concert After 13 Years

After 13 years in the music industry, Taiwanese-based South Korean singer Sun Shengxi is returning to her roots for her first solo concert in Seoul on Oct. 11. The Golden Melody Award winner, who has built a successful career in Taiwan, expressed a mix of excitement and pressure about performing in her home country. "It's not easier performing in front of the people I know best," she admitted, "but it's a moment of emotion I've waited a long time for, and I must give them the best stage."

Sun's Seoul concert is part of her "The Taste Of…" world tour, supporting her new EP of the same name. The tour includes a stop in Taipei on Nov. 1, where she promises "exclusive surprises" leveraging the local advantage. She also announced a show in Kuala Lumpur on Dec. 6, marking her first overseas mini-tour. Sun noted that taking on the role of organizer for this tour has been a significant learning experience, different from her previous role as just a performer.

She anticipates that friends from her school days will reach out upon hearing the news, and she is planning how to arrange for her family and relatives to attend the Seoul show.
