Supercopa Bantrab 2026: Semifinal matchups set after dramatic quarterfinals

The Supercopa Bantrab is entering its decisive phase with the four semifinalists now known. The competition for the season's first title has heated up after an exciting quarterfinals round.

Antigua GFC, a favorite, decisively beat Municipal R-19 with a 5-0 scoreline. Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over the national runner-up, Xelajú MC, in a high-intensity match. The quarterfinals also saw a close contest where Chiquimulilla, from the Primera División, narrowly lost 2-1 to Aurora FC, who advanced with their experience.

Nueva Santa Rosa provided the most dramatic match, drawing 4-4 with Fraijanes before winning in a penalty shootout. According to the competition rules, the semifinals will take place on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12. The first semifinal will pit Nueva Santa Rosa against Antigua GFC at the Pedro García Arredondo stadium. The following day, Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa will host Aurora FC in another anticipated match that promises a spot in the grand final.
