Suspect Detained in Kadzhamjay District for Series of Thefts

Authorities in the Kadzhamjay district have apprehended a 38-year-old man suspected of committing a string of burglaries. Residents of the Uch-Korgon rural district reported to the Batken region's Internal Affairs Directorate that an unknown individual had broken into their homes and stolen cash and jewelry from late June to mid-July.

The total value of the stolen property is reported to exceed 700,000 Kyrgyz soms. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, pertaining to "Theft." The suspect, identified as a previously convicted resident of the Absamat Masaliev rural district, was detained within the Kadzhamjay district and placed in a temporary detention facility.

During the investigation, law enforcement successfully recovered the stolen jewelry and returned it to the rightful owners. The investigation into the case is ongoing. The Batken region's Internal Affairs Directorate provided photographic evidence related to the arrest.
