Suspect Identified in German Series of Vandalism Incidents Involving Steel Balls

Authorities in Senden, Germany, have identified a suspect in connection with a series of vandalism incidents that have plagued the area since November 2022. The accused, a 66-year-old individual, is alleged to have repeatedly targeted parked vehicles and private property using steel balls.

The investigation gained momentum following additional incidents reported in June and July of this year, which solidified the suspicion against the individual. Law enforcement officers executed a search of the suspect's property on Wednesday, uncovering a significant cache of potential evidence.

Among the items seized were multiple slingshots, air guns, and a loaded blank-firing pistol. Police noted that these weapons may have been modified, potentially giving them characteristics similar to live firearms. The total damage caused by the alleged acts of vandalism is currently estimated to be in the mid-five-figure euro range.

The suspect is accused of causing damage to vehicles and property over an extended period. The police are continuing their investigation into the full extent of the suspect's alleged activities and the potential modifications to the seized weaponry.
