Suspected cartel member "El Alexis" arrested again in Mexico City, found with security bracelet

Authorities in Mexico City have rearrested Alexis Alan "N," known as "El Alexis," a suspected member of the notorious Unión Tepito drug cartel. He is accused of engaging in drug dealing in the Venustiano Carranza borough under the direction of Víctor Hugo "N," alias "El Huguito."

Fernanda "N," also believed to be part of Unión Tepito, was arrested alongside "El Alexis." The capture occurred in the Jardín Balbuena neighborhood during an investigation into drug dealing and extortion complaints. Police observed the pair in a luxury vehicle, allegedly handling drugs.

During the arrest, officers seized a firearm with ammunition, numerous bags of marijuana, a substance identified as crystal methamphetamine, and high-end cell phones. Notably, "El Alexis" was wearing a security bracelet on his leg at the time of his detention, which he reportedly used as a plea for his release.

This is not "El Alexis's" first encounter with law enforcement. He has previously been arrested and served time in a Mexico City penitentiary for qualified homicide and attempted qualified homicide. His previous arrest in 2019 was at a luxury apartment complex in the Álvaro Obregón borough.
