Suspected double voting reported in Mokpo during local elections

Election officials in Mokpo, South Jeolla Province, are investigating a suspected case of double voting that occurred on June 3, the day of the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections. The incident was reported at a polling station in Sang-dong, Mokpo.

According to the South Jeolla Election Commission, a voter who had already cast their ballot during the early voting period was allegedly found to have participated in the main election voting on election day. A poll worker reportedly identified the issue and alerted the Mokpo City Election Commission.
