Swedish opposition leader accuses Russia of election interference

Swedish Social Democratic leader Magdalena Andersson has accused Russia of trying to influence Sunday’s parliamentary election through a right-wing competitor.

In an interview with Politico, Andersson said Russia had interfered in the election campaign. She pointed to recent media reports alleging that an official from the Sweden Democrats had longstanding links to Russia.

The Social Democratic leader is ahead in opinion polls, according to the report.
