Swedish police detain Russian tourists camping near defense CEO's villa

Swedish police apprehended two Russian tourists who had set up camp near the property of Michael Johansson, the CEO of Saab, a prominent Swedish defense and aerospace company. The incident occurred in Gävleborg, central Sweden, raising security concerns.

The tourists, identified as Semjon Rusanov and Tatjana Milenina, were reportedly found on the pier of Johansson's summer house, allegedly attempting to fish. Security guards for Johansson prevented them from accessing the pier and subsequently called the police.

According to reports from Swedish public broadcaster SVT, police became suspicious due to the couple speaking English with a Russian accent and carrying radio transmitters. The proximity of the tourists to the executive's residence, coupled with these factors, prompted the police intervention and subsequent detention for further investigation into potential security risks to the Swedish state.
