Szoboszlai signs five-year contract extension with Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has committed his future to the club by signing a new five-year contract. The 25-year-old Hungarian international stated his ambition to achieve even more with Liverpool, both personally and as a team.

Szoboszlai joined Liverpool in 2023 and has become a key player. Last season, he scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists in 53 appearances across all competitions. This performance made him the first Liverpool midfielder since Steven Gerrard to record double-digit goals and assists in a single season.

His professional career began at Liefering, before moving to Red Bull Salzburg and then RB Leipzig. Szoboszlai has also earned 65 caps for the Hungarian national team, scoring 18 goals. Liverpool, now managed by Andoni Iraola, finished fifth in the Premier League last season, securing a Champions League spot.
