Tạ Minh Tâm, Phương Mỹ Chi Sing of a 'Peaceful Homeland' on Nguyen Hue Walking Street

Ho Chi Minh City's Nguyen Hue Walking Street buzzed with patriotic fervor as it hosted the opening of the "Peaceful Homeland" art program. The event, part of a series celebrating Vietnam, aimed to evoke emotions through songs praising the country and the silent sacrifices of its security forces.

The night kicked off with a vibrant performance by the MQ Dance Team, showcasing the "Essence of Vietnamese People" and highlighting the nation's enduring spirit. Singer Hiền Thục, accompanied by Birdy Lê and the Rồng Con choir, then performed "Melody of Pride." Songwriter Phạm Hồng Biển's message urged the younger generation to remember the sacrifices of their elders and to continue protecting and building the nation.

Singer Izara Thiên Nga and the MQ Dance team guided the audience through Vietnam's landscapes with "A Round of Vietnam" and "Hello Vietnam." Hiền Thục returned with the Linh Nga dance troupe to perform "City, Love, and Longing," expressing the deep affection residents hold for Ho Chi Minh City. Tạ Minh Tâm delivered an emotional rendition of "Silent Glory," a song by Nguyễn Bá Hùng, honoring the soldiers who dedicated their lives to national defense.

Phương Mỹ Chi captivated the audience with a medley of "Grateful to Sister Võ Thị Sáu" and "The Girl Who Listened to the Sea Sing." Her heartfelt performance brought listeners back to the nation's heroic history, portraying the resilient and unyielding spirit of the heroine Võ Thị Sáu. She also performed the familiar "Song of the Southern Land," her folk-infused voice earning widespread applause. The "Peaceful Homeland" art program successfully fostered a sense of pride and emotion, connecting the past and present, reminding attendees of generational sacrifices, and spreading love for the homeland and national pride among the youth.

The series' highlight, the "Peaceful Homeland" Gala, is set for June 13th on Nguyen Hue Walking Street. This 90-minute spectacle is envisioned as an artistic epic dedicated to the people's security forces, blending stage arts, documentary footage, and modern stage technology for a grand yet profound experience. The gala is expected to be broadcast live on VTV1, VTV9, People's Public Security Television (ANTV), and HTV9.
