Tabuk Emir to fund half of startup costs for private medical clinics for award winners

Tabuk Emir Prince Fahd bin Sultan has announced a significant initiative to support medical professionals in Saudi Arabia. During the 39th annual ceremony of the Prince Fahd bin Sultan Award for Scientific Excellence and Distinction, the Emir declared that his award will cover 50 percent of the startup costs for private medical clinics established by award winners.

This program aims to bolster outstanding Saudi medical talent as they embark on their careers, incentivizing them to create their own practices. Prince Fahd emphasized the Kingdom's need for skilled national professionals across various fields, expressing a desire to see award recipients contributing to hospitals, clinics, and their own businesses throughout Saudi Arabia.

The initiative directly supports Saudi Vision 2030, a central pillar of which is investing in Saudi citizens. The Emir highlighted the backing from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for developing and empowering the nation's workforce. He reflected on the award's nearly four-decade history, noting that past recipients have become doctors, engineers, military officers, pilots, and business leaders, all contributing to the Kingdom's progress.

At the ceremony, Prince Fahd honored 27 male and female recipients for their academic achievements, community service, and innovation. Notable recognitions included contributions to mental health, integrated care for kidney failure patients, and prisoner rehabilitation. The creativity and innovation category celebrated advancements in smart infrastructure coatings and robotic technology for slope leveling.
