Tadej Pogacar has etched his name further into cycling history by clinching his fifth Tour de France title. The Slovenian superstar's dominant performance throughout the race has solidified his place among the sport's all-time greats, joining the ranks of legends like Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault, and Indurain.

Pogacar's victory was achieved under challenging circumstances, with the race organizers adapting to "exceptional" situations. The 9th stage was shortened due to a heatwave, and the final 21st stage saw a reduction of 43 kilometers. These adjustments were made to alleviate the strain on emergency services, which were heavily deployed to combat significant forest fires, particularly in the Gironde and Landes regions.

Despite the disruptions, the Tour de France celebrated record-breaking moments, including the fastest stage average speed of 50.91 km/h during Soren Wærenskjold's victory. The event also saw massive crowds, with an estimated 600,000 spectators gathering on Alpe d'Huez.
