Tadej Pogačar Targets Tour of Spain to Complete Grand Tour Trilogy

Tadej Pogačar is set to compete in the Tour of Spain starting Saturday in Monaco, aiming to achieve a historic milestone in his cycling career. The Slovenian star, already a five-time Tour de France winner and the reigning Giro d'Italia champion, seeks to become the ninth cyclist ever to win all three major Grand Tours.

This achievement would further cement Pogačar's status as a dominant force in professional cycling. The 27-year-old's path to victory in this year's Vuelta a España appears favorable, as the race is considered by some to be less challenging than his previous victories. His primary competitors are notably absent from the lineup.

Jonas Vingegaard, Pogačar's closest rival, has ended his season prematurely following a crash during the Tour de France. Other potential contenders, including Isaac Del Toro, Remco Evenepoel, and Paul Seixas, are also not participating in the Vuelta, leaving Pogačar as the clear favorite to conquer the Spanish race and complete his Grand Tour collection.
