Taichung mayoral and council candidate registration set for August 31-September 4

Taichung residents are preparing for the year-end "nine-in-one" elections, with candidate registration for mayor, city councilor, and village chief positions set from August 31 to September 4. The Fengle Park Comprehensive Activity Center will host registrations for mayoral and city councilor hopefuls, while village chief candidates will register at local district offices.

The election commission will officially announce all related election procedures and details on August 20. This announcement will confirm any adjustments to the number of city council seats in various districts. Reports suggest a reduction of one seat in the southeast district, changing it from five to four, and an increase of one seat in the Beitun district, from six to seven.
