Taichung City's Transportation Bureau is breathing new life into urban infrastructure by creatively reimagining its parking facilities. Moving beyond mere functionality, the bureau is turning ordinary parking lots into vibrant public art spaces, enhancing the city's aesthetic appeal and visitor experience.

A prime example is the Huian Parking Lot in the 7th district. This lot has been revitalized with a public art project titled "Dream Departure," created by sculptors Yu Deng-quan and Yu Min-ci. The Dayi Multi-level Parking Lot has undergone a significant upgrade, incorporating AI smart management technology and local cultural elements, earning it prestigious awards. The Huian Parking Lot, featuring a contactless, license-plate recognition system, ensures efficient vehicle entry and exit, further improving user convenience.
