Taifong's May Profit Surges 814% on High-End Material Shipments

Taiwanese flexible copper clad laminate (FCCL) manufacturer Taifong (8039) saw its net profit soar by 814% year-on-year in May, reaching 69.45 million yuan. The company's pre-tax net profit also jumped 646% to 90.78 million yuan on a 1% revenue increase to 914 million yuan.

This significant profit growth is driven by a higher proportion of high-end material shipments, with robust demand for AI server-related high-speed soft board materials, heat dissipation materials, and FCCL products. Taifong has been actively shifting its focus from traditional printed circuit boards (PCBs) to the semiconductor sector.

The company's strategic move into high-margin, high-frequency soft board materials and semiconductor packaging substrates is paying off. Taifong is now integrated into the supply chains for low-orbit satellites and automotive electronics. As these new material products gain traction, they are boosting both revenue and profitability.
