Tainan City announces key personnel changes in district leadership

Tainan City is undergoing a significant administrative reshuffling, prompted by the promotion of Yang Yaling, the Chief Secretary of the Civil Affairs Bureau, to the position of Deputy Minister of the Hakka Affairs Council. This move necessitates a series of changes in key district leadership roles.

Specifically, the district chiefs of Xinying, South, and Anping districts will see new appointments. The Civil Affairs Bureau stated that these personnel adjustments are designed to "strengthen local governance effectiveness" by ensuring officials are placed in roles that best suit their capabilities.

Original South District Chief Xiao Xiuhua will move to become the Chief Secretary of the Civil Affairs Bureau. Xiao Taihua, formerly the Anping District Chief, will take over as the South District Chief. Chen Hongtian, who served as the Xinying District Chief, is appointed as the new Anping District Chief. Zheng Tianfu, previously the Chief Secretary of the Xinying District Office, will be promoted to Xinying District Chief.

Vice Mayor and Acting Civil Affairs Bureau Director Jiang Linhuang presided over the handover ceremonies. He encouraged the newly appointed district chiefs to lead their teams effectively, enhance frontline administrative efficiency and service quality, and collaborate closely with local representatives and community organizations to secure resources and drive district development.
