Tainan Farmers' Association Launches Offering Gift Box to Capture Mid-Autumn Festival Market

The An Ding District Farmers' Association in Tainan is tapping into the Mid-Autumn Festival market by offering a special "Mid-Autumn Festival Peace Offering Gift Box." This is the second year the association has curated a collection of popular products from farmers' associations across Taiwan.

The gift box is designed to provide a convenient one-stop solution for temples and individuals preparing offerings for the traditional Ghost Festival. Last year's launch was met with significant enthusiasm, including large orders from temples, prompting the association to reintroduce the product this year with a sales target of 1,000 to 1,500 boxes.

Huang Yen-ming, Secretary-General of the An Ding District Farmers' Association, highlighted the box's double-layer design and its selection of best-selling items. These include staples like sugar and salt, along with Kaohsiung No. 147 rice from the Meinong Farmers' Association, soy sauce, cooking oil, and Guanmiao noodles from various associations, and snacks. The association has already received inquiries from temples.

Huang added that the gift box features items that are already consumer favorites. Should there be a need after the festival, the association is open to accepting customized orders. The initiative reflects a growing trend of combining traditional festival needs with convenient, packaged solutions, leveraging the popularity of regional agricultural products.
