Tainan High School Admissions Reach 99.6% Acceptance Rate; 3,413 Spots Remain for Further Recruitment

Tainan City's senior high school admission process for the upcoming academic year has concluded with an exceptionally high acceptance rate of 99.6%. A total of 9,056 students applied, and 9,020 were successfully admitted, indicating a smooth and stable distribution process.

Despite the near-universal acceptance, 3,413 enrollment slots remain unfilled across various schools and departments. These vacancies will be filled through subsequent recruitment drives, offering further opportunities for students.

Tainan District's independent admission system has been continuously promoted in recent years towards 'advantage development and adaptive choice,' encouraging students to fill out their preferences according to their own interests, abilities, and the characteristics of the school's programs.

Education Bureau Director Zheng Xin-hui highlighted the success of the admission system, which has been progressively refined to encourage students to pursue their interests and aptitudes. The high acceptance rate reflects effective guidance in career exploration and college application processes at the junior high level.

Admitted students are required to complete their registration between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on July 9th, adhering to each school's specific procedures. Failure to report by the deadline will be considered a waiver of the admission offer. The results are available on the Tainan District Senior High School Entrance Examination Committee website and individual school sites, with the organizing school, National Shanhua Senior High School, also sending out SMS notifications.

The 99.60% acceptance rate this year shows that the guidance work in junior high schools on career exploration and preference selection has gradually shown results.
