Tainan Holds Father's Day Health Carnival to Promote Well-being

Tainan City celebrated a "Cherish Dad, Health Forever" health carnival just before Father's Day, drawing a large crowd eager to participate in activities promoting well-being and family bonding. The event, organized by the city's Health Bureau, blended health promotion initiatives with engaging parent-child interactions, offering a unique way for families to celebrate.

Attendees, accompanied by their fathers, navigated various health-focused game stations and collected stamps for limited-edition gifts. The carnival provided on-site vaccination services and comprehensive health assessments, including checks for physical strength in seniors. Informative booths covered crucial health topics, such as preventing metabolic syndrome, discouraging adolescent tobacco and betel nut use, and introducing long-term care services.

Mayor Huang Wei-che graced the event, presenting attendees with anthurium flowers to wish fathers a happy Father's Day and a healthy life. He emphasized the importance of the carnival in raising societal and familial awareness of fathers' health. "I hope everyone develops good living habits," Mayor Huang stated, adding that the Health Bureau would continue to offer diverse health promotion activities to foster a more supportive and caring health-focused city.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with their fathers in a healthy and joyful setting. Many noted that work commitments often limit their time with their parents, making such events a valuable chance to prioritize their fathers' well-being.
