Tainan village chiefs quiz new district chief

Village chiefs from Tainan's Yongkang district mobilized to visit the newly appointed chief of Danei district, Zhong Mingda, offering congratulations and even posing a quiz.

Zhong Mingda officially took office as Danei district chief on July 16. The village chiefs from Yongkang, where Zhong previously served as deputy district chief and maintained good relations, organized their visit for July 24. Their original plan to attend his inauguration on July 16 was thwarted by a coordination meeting for the Yongkang Police Precinct's "Town Resilience Air Defense Exercise."

Danei's population is nearly 8,400, with the elderly population accounting for 31%.

Led by Zheng Wensheng, president of the Village Chiefs Association and chief of Beixing Village, the group visited the Danei District Office. Zheng posed a question to Zhong about the number of villages and the population of Danei. Zhong responded instantly, stating that Danei has a population of nearly 8,400, with over 31% being elderly. He highlighted that visiting and caring for the elderly would be a priority and that he would promote community care centers.

Zhong also took the opportunity to promote Danei's agricultural products, particularly avocados, and its scenic spots, including the Southern Taiwan Science Park Observatory, Tsou Ma Lai Farm, and Diecai Mountain, inviting everyone to visit Danei for a short trip.
