Taipei Water Fun Festival Celebrates Qixi with Free Massages and Romantic Music

Taipei's Water Fun Festival hosted a special event on August 15, 2026, to celebrate the Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day. Held at the Taipei Water Park, the celebration aimed to create a romantic and relaxing atmosphere for visitors.

The Taipei Water Department invited visually impaired masseurs from the Taipei Association for the Promotion of the Quality of Life of the Visually Impaired to provide free shoulder and neck massages. Complementing the therapeutic services, singers Caryson and Homix performed a medley of romantic ballads, accompanied by an electronic keyboard. Many attendees enjoyed the soothing music while receiving massages, embracing the romantic ambiance of Qixi.

The event, which runs until August 30, also included a stamp-collecting activity at the Water Museum, allowing visitors to create personalized postcards. Despite a short period of rain, the festivities continued with enthusiasm, drawing participants of all ages, including families, couples, and seniors. The initiative successfully blended public welfare, supporting visually impaired employment, with the festive spirit of Qixi, adding a warm touch to the Water Fun Festival.
