Taiwan military conducts airport infiltration drill

Taiwan's armed forces have commenced a five-day "Ready to Fight Exercise" starting June 22, designed to rigorously test the nation's defense capabilities. The exercise involves multiple units, with a specific focus on verifying rapid response and counter-infiltration measures.

As part of the drills, the 2nd Battalion of the 269th Mechanized Infantry Brigade simulated counter-infiltration operations in the vicinity of Taoyuan International Airport on June 22. The battalion deployed armored vehicles, including Cloud Leopard eight-wheeled armored vehicles, CM11 tanks, and TOW missiles, to conduct reconnaissance, maintain security, and neutralize the simulated threat.
