Taiwan Reservists Rapidly Deploy Artillery for Han Kuang Exercise

Taiwan's Fourth Theater Command demonstrated the rapid deployment capabilities of its reservist forces during the Han Kuang 42 exercise. An infantry unit's artillery battalion, mobilized through reservist training, executed a swift preparation drill for live-fire operations in downtown Tainan.

Under orders, the soldiers quickly maneuvered multiple 105mm towed howitzers into position. The unit successfully completed the complex process of occupying firing positions and preparing for simulated live-fire within a tight 15-minute timeframe. This exercise highlighted the reservists' readiness to respond to potential threats.

The drill simulated the unit's ability to quickly establish artillery positions, a critical step in coastal defense. The troops are now on standby, prepared to move to designated 'red beaches' for further exercises, underscoring Taiwan's ongoing efforts to bolster its defense capabilities through reservist mobilization and training.
