Taiwan's Executive Yuan Criticizes Opposition's Drone Bill

Taiwan's Executive Yuan has voiced criticism regarding a drone regulation bill passed by opposition parties, stating it falls short of addressing the nation's pressing defense needs. The government body argues that the legislative version, championed by the opposition, fails to adequately incorporate the urgency required for national defense development.

According to the Executive Yuan's spokesperson, Li Hui-chih, the bill, particularly the version proposed by the Kuomintang (KMT), does not fully reflect the immediate necessities of bolstering national defense capabilities. This perceived inadequacy, the government contends, prevents the legislation from achieving its intended policy objective: stimulating the growth of domestic industries through defense-related demands.
