Taiwan's 'Monster Power' Li Hao-yu Amazes U18 World Cup Teammate

Taiwanese baseball player Li Hao-yu is showcasing remarkable power and consistency in his current season. Playing as the sixth batter and third baseman for the Tigers, he recently hit his sixth home run of the season and a double, contributing two RBIs to his team's effort. His teammate Lin Tzu-hao, who was part of the 2019 U18 World Cup championship team with Li, expressed his admiration for Li's performance.

Lin Tzu-hao, who now plays in Major League Baseball, stated he closely follows Li's progress. After Li's consecutive game hitting streak reached eight games, Lin exclaimed, "He got a hit again today, he's so godly." The two often share meals during the off-season when Li visits Taiwan. Li Hao-yu's current batting average stands at .273, with a .304 on-base percentage and a .438 slugging percentage, resulting in an OPS of 0.742.

Li Hao-yu has now extended his hitting streak to 10 consecutive games, setting a new record for Taiwanese players. He has also tied Lin Chih-wei for second place in Taiwanese history with nine career doubles. With six home runs this season, he is just three shy of the Taiwanese record of nine home runs held by Chang Yu-cheng.
