Taiwan U16 baseball team shuts out host Branson for second straight win

Taiwan's U16 national baseball team continues its strong performance at the 2026 Babe Ruth League U16 World Championship in Branson, Missouri, securing their second consecutive win. The team defeated the host city's team, Branson, with a decisive 4-0 shutout in their preliminary round match on August 9.

The victory was powered by a combined shutout effort from the pitching staff. Starting pitcher Chen Kai-Hsin delivered a dominant performance over five innings, followed by two solid innings from reliever Chen Wei-Chun. The offense capitalized on key opportunities, stringing together hits to score four runs in a crucial inning.
