Taiwanese Actor Fu Tzu-chun Dies Suddenly of Leukemia at 46; Family May Opt for Tree Burial

Taiwanese actor Fu Tzu-chun passed away suddenly on July 7 at the age of 46 due to acute leukemia, leaving fans and friends heartbroken. Today, July 13, marks his "head seven," a traditional mourning period. Rumors have circulated that his family, mindful of his low-key nature, is considering a tree burial and has identified a final resting place. His agency, however, has issued a swift response, stating that no decisions have been finalized yet.

Fu Tzu-chun, who had a 24-year career in the entertainment industry, was known for his excellent relationships with colleagues and his reputation as a warm-hearted individual. Since his memorial service opened on July 10 in Banqiao, a large number of celebrity friends, including Kao Hsin-hsin, Weng Chia-ming, Liang Yu-nan, Fang Hsin, and many others, have paid their respects, visibly saddened, underscoring his success and likability during his lifetime.

Regarding the widespread speculation about Fu Tzu-chun's final resting place being a tree burial, with his family having already scouted a location, the agency stated, "Nothing has been confirmed yet. We will provide updates on the confirmed date and location to everyone."

Fu Tzu-chun's widow, Corrinna, previously shared her grief, revealing that her husband was unaware he had contracted the aggressive leukemia. She recounted that he was conscious upon arrival at the hospital, able to communicate his symptoms clearly, and agreed to intubation in his fight for life. Despite intensive efforts in the ICU, he tragically passed away. His death certificate listed "pneumonia with sepsis, suspected acute leukemia."
