Taiwanese entertainer OuDi returns to TV, reveals goddaughter's acting talent

Taiwanese entertainer Ou Hansheng, widely known as "OuDi," is making a significant return to television after nearly a nine-year hiatus. He is set to host a new daily variety show titled "Ou Ye Yi Ji Bang." OuDi, who previously stepped back from work to focus on his children, feels his three daughters are now old enough for him to pursue his career again.

Reflecting on his daughters, OuDi shared a mix of paternal pride and lighthearted frustration. While he enjoys watching girl groups and practicing dance routines with them, including hits by Lisa and the K-pop group ILLIT, his daughters show little interest in following in his footsteps as a "King of Dance." He humorously suggested they might be shy because their father is too good a dancer.

OuDi hopes Ke Jiayan will make an appearance on his new show, promising a special segment tailored for her.

Looking ahead, OuDi maintains a strict approach to his daughters' futures, emphasizing the importance of a solid education before they venture into the entertainment industry. He wants them to have a "meal ticket" and the discernment to make wise choices, avoiding the struggles he faced during leaner times. Currently, his daughters are busy with outdoor activities like rollerblading and basketball, with minimal screen time, as he believes they should focus on these pursuits before exploring AI or other technologies.
